A conversation piece. Looks great. Remote control is cool. Good sound. Controls on side the side are a little hard to work, but alll in all this is a great item.

The Boynq Wake-Up has decent sound and a great look, BUT it was advertised as an iPOD speaker and alarm clock. I discovered that whenever you turn the unit on, it defaults to a volume of 35 (out of 60). When the alarm comes on it defaults to a volume of 35. This is WAY too loud to wake up to without the three rooms around your bedroom waking up too. I’ve turned the volume down with both the remote and the manual dial, but whenever the unit starts back up it blares out again at a volume of 35. This makes it USELESS as an alarm clock unless you live by yourself and are not startled by sudden blaring noises. Contrary to the advertisement, this NOT a good way to start your day. For a device designed to be an alarm clock, its volume problem is a glaring oversight. I’m sending mine back.

I recently traveled to Europe and saw this item selling for 100 euros. I was amazed I could find it on AMazon on the states.

This speaker is great for travel, or for falling asleep at night. Has an amplifier switch as well. Only problem is that it runs by AAA batteries. I wish it could be plugged in instead of being only battery powered, but it does deliver decent sound. The price is unbeatable.

I was hoping to use these speakers as portable amplifiers for my Sony PSP. There were two problems with this. First, the speakers are quite weak–even at the loudest (of two) settings, the PSP onboard speakers were just as loud. This is just barely loud enough to be heard in a car driving on a freeway, if you strain to listen. Second, the sound is accompanied by a high-pitched whine or buzz, just as loud as the music itself. I really can’t recommend these.

To use it, I have to turn my player upside down. Sound quality is horrible, volume is bad and it uses two AAA batteries to boot. I listen to audio books, so I don’t need great sound; however, this is ridiculous.

people say that the volume is amazing, its not that good, when my friends come over it doesn’t blast enough (im not just saying that because im 17) also it does not work with my ipod that good, i have the nano 4th generation. they said that it should work with it, i don’t know if my ipod is flipping on me because of the speaker or not, the remote is also extremely annoying, you have to hold it a certain way to change the song or whatever, I’m mainly sticking with it because its too cute!

I could not find a USB cable that could connect with my A31p Thinkpad laptop. This cable does not come with the LadyBug. I have quite a few USB cables with various connectors, but none that would insert into the LadyBug. I went to the company’s website but they do not sell it. Which cable should I get, and can I get it here on Amazon?
