This product is great if you pair it with a quality radio. On a basic american junk radio (comes with a Ford or a Chevy) it won’t work. In my BMW it is perfect. So, a lot depends on your radio. Of course it needs a clear channel. If you want a strong, fool proof FM transmitter, get the scoshe ones, those are amazingly strong and work with your junk car without any static.

Although it was hard at first to find a good channel or station to play on, it’s a great product. It pays good and clear thru my radio. Before I got this transmitter I had the XtremeMac AirPlay FM Transmitter for iPod Shuffle. It dosen’t has nothing on this product. The only down side is that I have to keep my iPod charged.

I just received my Tunecast 3. I am impressed Amazon! You got my order to me on time. I am disappointed at Amazon for the one thing. I came on the website to rate this product and I just happened to notice that now they are offering FREE 2 day shipping! When I just I payed 10.50 for my 2-day shipping 2 DAYS AGO!!! WTH? Anyways the product…It is not as flimsy as everyone has said. It works great if you find a good station. I found this on the web which might help you locate a good station to use in your area [...] it is an excellent tool to find free frequencies in your area. As for the Tunecast it works well and the AC adapter that comes with the product is a nice add on that you don’t have to pay extra for…If you really want a good FM transmitter I recommend that you check a listing for hobby shops and FM transmitters with more power that you can install in your car otherwise this is a good moderate choice with little out of pocket expense and almost no set up time. The lighting on the screen makes it really easy to see the station you slected which is a great safety feature since we should be watching the road while we are driving and enjoying the finer tunes of Elliot Smith a freaking awesome guitarist. Too bad he’s gone would have love to see a concert of his, but I guess if that’s the case I would have really loved to see Jimi Hendrix, but alas born a century too late I will have to settle to Jimi and Elliot on my ipod! Best wishes to your shopping and enjoy!

The Tunecast III has a better display than the Tunecast II and the only complaint I have is that the battery cover keeps popping off when I bump it. Other than that, I like it. Also, it goes without saying, buy rechargeable batteries or use the cigarette adapter.

I’ve had a Belkin TuneCast II, the other model universal FM transmitter. But, this one works much better. The battery life seems to be at least 3 times longer. Also, most importantly, this model does not shut off after a few seconds. It stays on about 10 minutes. Now, if there is a short passage of a song or a semi-long gap between songs, I do not have to listen to static until (with the other model) the music kicks in again.
