The Bracketron iPod Docking Kit is designed to work all iPod models on the market today as well as many other handheld mobile electronic devices.The kits interchangeable components and adjustable wings offers up to 2 1/2 inches of wing adjustability and can be mounted on it’s own using the included Standard Air Vent Mount or used in conjunction with other Bracketron mounting products. Also included is a T-Notch AMPS Adapter Plate that allows you to mount your iPod Docking Kit and iPod to any one of Bracketron¿s Custom Bezel Mount. (Custom mount not included.)

We just got this item this past weekend. It was $9.99 at Best Buy – one of the best prices we’d seen on an iPod holder for the car, and it seemed like it would be easy to transfer back and forth between cars. It was extremely easy to put together, and to mount to the vent in my car. My only gripe is that if you put the foam pads in, it’s way too tight of a fit (we have a 30GB video iPod). So, in order to keep it from scratching the back of the iPod when putting it in and taking it out, I went to our local hardware store and got some of those felt pads you put on the bottoms of furniture. I stuck them to the main surface of the holder, and it works great – perfect fit, and doesn’t scratch. Definitely a good buy overall.

This thing is a total piece of garbage. I got it at Best Buy for twenty-five bucks, and after spending a while installing it as a fixed mount, I realized that the arms don’t even hold the ipod securely. The slightest bump, and it would go flying out. Luckily Best Buy’s return policy is better than this product. Keep Away!!!
